One of my favorite accessories, especially for summer, are sunglasses. However, as someone with incredibly bad vision, I usually go for prescription sunnies because I wear my glasses more often than my contacts. So when Optically.co reached out to try out a pair of glasses, I knew I had to try a pair of prescription sunglasses. Let’s take a look (get it?) at the pair!
When I looked through their site, there was just a huge selection of women’s glasses in various styles and colors, including some from some brand names. They had some designer glasses as well from brands like Marc Jacobs, Gucci, Jimmy Choo and more. I personally love thicker frames, so I chose the Opium OP1465, a thick rimmed round frame with clear arms – a cute little detail that I liked. I also chose it because it’s a bit oversized, which is perfect for days where I don’t want to put in a ton of effort (aka most days).
I received the pair in about a week (super fast!) and looked great. The case did arrive a little banged up, but they did wrap the pair in bubble wrap and styrofoam, so the frames and lenses came in perfect condition.
First off, I love how these look and fit! I loved the contrast with the frames and the arms – plus the arms are a bit translucent, so you could see the hardware which adds a nice little touch.
I also like how the lenses sort of fade from dark to light on the bottom. It’s a nice little touch. Plus, they feel nice and sturdy, so I don’t feel like it would break when I throw it in my bag. I’m glad I went with a thicker frame, because I’m quite careless when it comes to glasses (which is why I have a ton of extra pairs) and I have already sat on them.
