my sephora vib sale recommendations (spring 2018)

The Sephora VIB Sales for VIB Rouges, VIBs and Beauty Insiders is this weekend! If you are a VIB Rouge (like myself because I buy too much makeup), you had a preview last weekend, but you also get to shop this upcoming weekend as well! Woo!

Here are the sale details:

  • VIB Rouge: 15% off with the code YAYROUGE
  • VIB: 15% off with the code YAYVIB
  • Beauty Insider: 10% off with code YAYINSIDER

Sephora has this sale twice a year (once in April and once in November), so it’s a good time to pick up items on a discount. I’ve gathered all the items I would recommend, broken down into categories. Some of these recommendations show up on my lists in the past, so you know they are tried and true choices.

belif aqua bomb (for oily skin) or aqua cream (for dry skin): This is one of my favorite moisturizers. I picked up a backup at last year’s sale, so I personally won’t be picking this one up. It’s lightweight, non-greasy, and feels cooling on your skin. I’ve written a review of it if you’d like my full thoughts.

saturday skin rub-a-dub peel gel: A new addition to my skincare routine and currently my twice weekly physical exfoliater. The name is a bit of a misnomer; you’d think it would be more like a peel mask, but it is not. It’s gentle, but my skin always feels a bit smoother after I use this. Plus, it smells like citrus and comes in the most simple, but cute packaging.

laneige lip sleeping mask: If you have dry, cracking lips, look no further. This is for you. I use this every night and it has done wonders for my lips. It’s more emollient than the Bite Agave Lip Mask, so it doesn’t feel particularly heavy. It is a bit tacky, but I don’t mind that so much (since I’m about to go to sleep). Some people find the scent too sweet, but I actually like it.

drunk elephant c-firma serum: Okay, yes, this is pricey. It’s only whenever I have a coupon or when the new holiday set comes out (just in time for the coupon) that I buy anything from Drunk Elephant. However, this serum has helped brighten my complexion. Plus, a little goes a long way, so you won’t need to purchase this as often. Yes, I can attest that it smells a little like hot dog water, but it doesn’t linger.

nars highlighting powder in fort de france: One of my favorite purchases from this year is this beautiful highlight. It’s a pale champagne with no chunky glitter. It blends seamlessly and gives you that “glow from within” look. I’ve been on this glossy highlight kick, and this ticks off all the boxes.

sunday riley the influencer clean long-wear foundation: I picked this up during the VIB preview and fell in love. Be warned, this foundation clearly says this is for Combo and Oily skin types, so don’t get this if you have dry skin. However, for us oily people out there, this is a dream. I’ve been wearing this to work and my makeup still looks good at the end of day (a good 12 hours later). Plus, I wore it while I walked 2 miles home and it. did. not. budge. I am seriously impressed.

too faced peach perfect mattifying setting powder: As an oily girl, I always set my foundation. I found that this one by Too Faced helps keep me matte-er than others (including the much loved Laura Mercier powder). I’m not knocking the Laura Mercier powder – it’s still a great powder and I still use it on occasion. I’m just a greaseball who needs a lot of help. Yes, it does have a slight peach scent, but it quickly dissipates and you won’t notice it. Sadly, this is out of stock online (as of this writing), but you may be able to pick it up at your local Sephora.

What are some of your Sephora VIB sale recommendations? What are you picking up? If you’re on a low-buy, are you picking anything up?

’til next time, xo!
