january favorites

Whew, January just flew right on by…which also means it’s time for another monthly favorites! This time around, I’ve only have makeup favorites Let’s take a look at everything I’ve been loving this month.

nars velvet matte foundation stick in medium 4 barcelona: This has been basically the only foundation I have been wearing this month. Stick foundations have been my go-to because they are so easy to work with. With this one, it applies best with a damp beauty sponge and I like the finish. I would describe it as a natural matte finish and medium coverage. I will be writing a full review on this in the next couple of weeks, but I have been loving it so far.

nars pro prime eyeshadow base: A long-time love for me. I like that this dries clear and doesn’t feel heavy or thick. This adheres my eyeshadow pretty well, which is saying a lot because I have super oily lids. Plus, I like the doe foot applicator because it’s so easy to use.

milani make it last setting spray: This is a freaking wonderful setting spray. I typically use the urban decay all-nighter setting spray, but decided to try this one for a more budget friendly option. This locks my makeup in for long work days and performs wonderfully. Great drugstore setting spray (plus the nozzle is great and doesn’t just spit on you).

glossier stretch concealer in dark: Honestly, I thought this would be too dewy for me, but I’ve actually been loving this. Under my eyes are a bit dry, so this doesn’t make me look crepey. I will say the shade range is horrible (only 5 shades, really?) and I never thought I would use a concealer that was considered “dark.” However, they have ah-mazing customer service; I ordered this in medium, but it was far too light for me and they sent me a darker shade and I didn’t have to send the incorrect one back.

coverfx blotting powder in medium: This has been my favorite blotting powder – it adds a bit of coverage but doesn’t look too crazy. It helps keep my oily skin at bay so I like to keep this on hand for touch-ups.

kiehl’s lip balm #1: This winter has absolutely wrecked my lips and this has been the only lip balm that has been helping. I’ve tried a bunch of different balms and lip masks, but this has been my favorite. Plus the tube was only $7, so it’s not too terrible for your wallet.

What are your favorite items this month? Let me know in the comments – I’d love to find new things to love!

’til next time, xo!
