This past weekend, I was invited by Influenster to attend the launch party of Origin’s new line, A Perfect World. I’ve never actually stepped foot in an Origins store (I usually buy it from Sephora), so it was interesting to see all the different lines that they have available.

While at the launch party, you could get a mini facials (though they were booked when I signed up, so no facial for me), eat cupcakes, and find products suited to your skin type. I have been on the hunt for a new moisturizer, since my skin has been extra dry this winter, and I was pointed in the direction of their Zero Oil line. I purchased the moisturizer, which smells heavenly. I’ll love to see how it performs now that there is more sunshine (and more oil).

I always also in love with the fact that they had their new face masks, which I am so excited to try out. I bought a couple of different ones, but those tea masks were calling my name. I might have to pick a couple up the next time I’m there!

They had so many different lines for different purposes and it was a little overwhelming. Luckily, the sales reps were very helpful and I walked out of there with a few new things.

Overall, I had a pretty fun time at the event. I learned a little more on one of my go-to skincare companies and got to pick up some new goodies while I was at  it.

Did you have a chance to attend the event?

’til next time, xo!

Whew! I can’t believe April is coming to an end! I received my Sephora Play Box early this month, so I thought I would share the goodies!

This month, the Sephora Play Box really wanted to play up skincare, which I am totally grateful for. My skincare routine is pretty minimal, but I’ve slowly been introducing more aspects as I figure out what my skin really needs. All that aside, let’s jump into the box!

It’s that time of year again, the Sephora VIB Sale and Ulta Perks/Platinum Prestige Sale! I’m a VIB Rouge and Ulta Platinum member, which just means I spend a crazy amount of money at both of those shops throughout the year.

Like I’ve mentioned previously, I’m on a low-buy this year. I’m not planning on buy a lot of things during this sale and thought I would share what I think you should buy and what I think you shouldn’t buy. Here were go…

what i bought in january: makeup purchase round-up

january 2017 makeup purchases

(Disclaimer: some of the links below contain affiliate links; for more on this, click here.)

Last week, I shared my New Year’s resolutions and said I would share my monthly makeup purchases to keep my buying habits in check. This month, I definitely bought less makeup than December – however, did buy quite a bit. My goal isn’t necessarily to stop spending all together, but to be more strategic. I was definitely better at that this month.

Here’s everything I bought this month:

2017 resolutions: makeup, fashion, home, and creativity

It’s almost the end of January, but I thought it’s still early enough in the year to discuss them. Honestly, I don’t think that you need to make resolutions at the beginning of the year; you can make them at any time of the year (or so I tell myself because I always make resolutions past the start of the year).

Let’s jump into it!
